                    "中条八幡神社本殿は、近世初期の備後地域の基準的な構造を持つ在郷の神社本殿です。細部意匠にも地域性が見られ、内陣内部の組物には造営当初の色彩が残ります。後世の改変も少なく、保存状態は良好です。また、本殿において祭礼を行っているなど江戸時代以来の祭礼形式を伝えている点においても、在地での文化的価値と歴史的意義は高いものです。<br />\n本殿の内陣には、古いもので永正2 年（1505 年）の本殿の建立及び修理の来歴が記されている棟札7枚が保存されており、本殿の歴史を窺い知ることのできる貴重な資料です。​"
